Type P

This is the sister product to type R, it is thicker in consistency due to larger gel particle size. Used for shaping facial contours, such as cheek and chin, correcting deep folds and for volume in the lips. Type R is manufactured by a unique method in the Q-Med Laboratories in Sweden and is a sugar based acid. The treatment is performed by injection and takes less than 30 minutes.

This acid is present in all living organisms. It boosts the volume of the skin to create a healthy, vital appearance. Type P contains acid in the form of a crystal-clear gel. Once in the skin, Type P combines with the bodies own acid to create volume. It has the unique ability to attract water into the tissue, creating fullness. As the molecules dissolve over time, they turn into water and depart without leaving any trace in your body. In contrast to other biodegradable implants it is not extracted from animals. This eliminates the risk of allergic reactions, making it perfectly safe to use without pre-testing.

Type P treatment lasts for approximately 8-10 months, it varies between each individual. It depends on many factors such as the structure of the skin, lifestyle and age. However, we know that for the majority of patients treated, about 30-80% of the effect remains after 6 months. Most people choose to have another treatment done within a year. The treated area can be slightly swollen and red for 12-24 hours.
