IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatment is used for capillaries and veins on the face, neck and decollatage. IPL treatments are a very safe and effective way of eliminating capillaries.
Sclerotherapy is a treatment used to treat dilated blood vessels on the leg, usually appearing as broken capillaries and spider veins. A solution is injected with a very fine needle into the blood vessel. Within a few weeks, the injected veins fade and become very faint or just visible. Most patients achieve 50-80% improvement in treated veins. The veins will generally begin to disappear within several weeks following treatment, however the process can take several months to fully heal. Most patients experience minimal pain during the injections. Any discomfort is usually short term and is related to the irritation caused by the substance injected into the vein. Following the treatment, pressure may be applied to the injected area for 24 to 36 hours. Daily walking for at least 20 minutes after the treatment is strongly encouraged.
Phlebectomy is a procedure which involves removal of the larger veins. It is an easy solution to varicose veins. A short section of the vein is removed, to reduce the protruding vein. Smaller varicose veins can be treated by a simple injection.
